The VII International Meeting of Economics is an academic event organized by the Department of Quantitative Economics (DEC) of the National Polytechnic School (EPN, acronym in Spanish). It is a biannual event that seeks to promote research in Economics through the discussion of economic problems through the presentation of research papers with an important use of theoretical and technical tools.
In this occasion, the VII International Meeting of Economics will be held jointly with the V Meeting of Regional Science (ENACIR, acronym in Spanish), organized by the Ecuadorian Regional Science Network (RECIR, acronym in Spanish). At the same time, these scientific meetings will take place on September 6, 7 and 8, 2023 in person and virtually, and are aimed at researchers, professors, students and professionals who work in the economic field and other related fields.
The V Meeting of Regional Science (ENACIR): "Innovation and sustainability in the digital transformation of regions" aims to bring together researchers, academics, businessmen and professionals interested in the study of the development of regions, with special emphasis, but not only, in aspects of innovation and sustainability such as technological innovation, digitization of production processes, digital education, digital governance, digital inclusion, among others. Likewise, the implications of inequality, migration, innovation and technology in the development of the regions will be discussed.
In the current context of globalization and the digitization of the economy, digital transformation has become a key process for the development of regions.
